Berman Fenelus is an award-winning filmmaker and storyteller based in New York City, known for crafting authentic narratives that amplify marginalized voices and challenge conventional cinema. With over 15 years of experience, Berman’s work is deeply rooted in his Brooklyn upbringing, drawing inspiration from the diverse cultures and communities he grew up in. He is the founder of All Area Crew, a production company dedicated to creating visually arresting stories that explore themes of identity, resilience, and social justice.
Berman’s portfolio includes award-winning short films and documentaries, such as Kojo (a child jazz prodigy), Lana (substance abuse), and Park Slope Minstrel Show (racism). His commercial directing credits feature collaborations with global brands like Maybelline, Hilton, and Adidas. In 2020, he won an NY Emmy for Spell It Out, a PSA raising awareness about food allergies in children.
